83ov+ = 8m 82 ov = 7.5m 81ov = 7.0m 80ov=6.5m 79ov=5.5m 78ov=4.5m 77ov=3.5m 76ov=2.5m 75ov=1.5m 74ov=1m 73ov =850k 72ov=800k 71ov=750k 70ov and lower =700k
And to fight salary inflation . You can sign your RFA's at a discounted rate. UFAS will not take a discount.
Except for the next signing period or two. So UFAs will hit the max values on the salary chart. On their 3rd contract.
116% for 4yrs 112% for 3yrs 110% for 2yrs 108% for 1yr. Divide that number by 2.
Ex if Tim Cheveldae was a RFA this yr his number would be as follows. 8m x 116% ÷2=4.64m
If he was a UFA signing his 3rd contract. He would at 8m.

Ok so starting Seaon 4 offseason there will a salary cap of 30m with a cap floor of 10m.
So after hearing some of your concerns. We've decided to lower some of the higher player cap numbers.
83ov+ = 5m 82 ov = 4m 81ov = 3m 80ov=2.5m 79ov=2.25m 78ov=2m 77ov=1.75m 76ov=1.5m 75ov=1.25m 74ov=1m 73ov =850k 72ov=800k 71ov=750k 70ov and lower =700k
To find out your players new RFA contract( 2nd contract) . You times the players current cap hit times the multiplier and divide by 2. For UFA You times the players current cap hit times the multiplier .
116% for 4yrs 112% for 3yrs 110% for 2yrs 108% for 1yr.
Ex if Tim Cheveldae was a RFA this yr his number would be as follows. 5m x .750 x 116% ÷2=2.175m
If. Tim Cheveldae was a UFA his cap number would be as follows. 5m x .750 x 116%= 4.35m

91+ = 5.5m 89-90 = 5m 87-88 = 4.5m 85-86 = 4m 83-84 = 3.5m 82 ov = 3m 81ov = 2.75m 80ov=2.5m 79ov=2.25m 78ov=2m 77ov=1.75m 76ov=1.5m 75ov=1.25m 74ov=1m 73ov =850k 72ov=800k 71ov=750k 70ov and lower =700k
To find out your players new RFA contract( 2nd contract) . You times the players current cap hit times the multiplier and divide by 2. For UFA You times the players current cap hit times the multiplier .
120% for 5 years 116% for 4yrs 112% for 3yrs 110% for 2yrs 108% for 1yr.
Does this make sense to everyone?

Question - next season will our players all have their contracts adjusted regardless of their contract status?

This is what the new salary calculator sheet is based on. I like the examples Ive seen come out of this, and will be using it to set a cap number for next season
