The San Jose Sharks and Minnesota North Stars have agreed to the following deal:
To SJS: (C) Terry Yake (73/23 - $220k/3)
To MIN: (D) Larry Melnyk (76/31 - $600k/3)
Gave up keeping MacTavish to get Smith so I had 1 few C and 1 too many D. This gives me a young C to camp which wasn't going to happen in MIN and gives MIN a middle pair D they wanted.
Deal good in San Jose.
