I figured I'd post these here for others to add any input and feedback so we can get the best camps possible for these teams.
The Sabres have 2 campable players over 80 OV — both seem like obvious choices to camp.
- C Pierre Turgeon (89/24)
- RW Alex Mogilny (88/24)
They also have 4 campable players in the 70-79 OV range. Based on age and skill level, Murray and Haller seem the ideal choices here.
- LW Darrin Shannon (75/24)
Other campable players:
- C Derek Armstrong (67/20), Francois Guay (64/25)
- LW Darcy Loewen (66/24)
- RW Pat Falloon (68/22)
- D Shawn Anderson (69/25), Brad Miller (68/24), Todd Reirden (67/22)
- G Stephane Beauregard (67/25)
Both Turgeon and Mogilny could use EN/DU improvement, but Turgeon, as the #1 C, arguably needs it more urgently, and Mogilny would stand to benefit more from getting that camp in the offseason than Turgeon would. As such, I recommend Turgeon be sent to the Condition Camp.
Mogilny's other weaknesses are in IT, ST, and DF, and mitigating these would arguably be a better option than improving on his already elite level strengths. As such, I recommend Mogilny be sent to the Hit the Weights Camp.
Murray could use improvement in most attributes, but his most significant weakness is in SP and SK, so I recommend he be sent to the Road Runner Camp, with the discretionary point applied to his PC, as it is a more glaring weakness for a scoring forward like himself than his DF.
Haller has fairly strong attributes all around, except where he most needs it — DF. I therefore recommend the Stay at Home Camp, with the extra discretionary point applied to ST.
Pierre Turgeon
- Conditioning Camp: +7 EN (82), +5 DU (85)
Alexander Mogilny
- Hit the Weights Camp: +3 IT (69), +3 ST (78), +1 DF (60)
Glen Murray
- Road Runner Camp: +2 SP (65), +2 SK (66), +1 PC (72)
Kevin Haller
- Stay at Home Camp: +1 IT (72), +2 ST (73), +2 DF (73)
